description=The Fairchild 24 was a classic airplane that was designed and manufactured in the late 1930's to the 1940's.  It was produced for both the US Air Corp as well as the civilian comunity.  The Fairchild 24 was fitted with either of two engines, the Ranger as in this model and the Warner, which was a radial engine.  Some seaplane variants were also produced.  This particular plane was restored by Francis (June) Ortis in 1968 and took many awards and trophies when attending various Fly-Ins.  Registry is N77691.
